Calming Performance Anxiety

It’s important to value our own intelligence and talents in a way that reflects the true us. Each of us has our own path and personal sense of confidence. When we stop measuring ourselves by external standards, it no longer feels like a competition. After all, the idea of “winning” usually depends on others judging our success with an attached title. So, it’s worth asking: What is the reason for seeking external validation?
For me, the question provides a lot of clarity and peace. But if you do find yourself wanting to be seen by others as the best, the feeling of the pressure will be naturally included. There’s nothing wrong with striving to perform at your best. Just remember — what matters most is accepting your results as the best you could offer in that moment. Each experience is a chance to grow, to learn, and to enjoy the opportunity of enhancing your skills.
I hope you learn to be at peace while competing and/or performing.
